#Types (Grade) of Ply:

ISI mark is the key, always Look for 303 or 710 grades : 

1) 710 (Marine Ply) 

It is also known as BWR. It is manufactured for water-prone area.
So this is used for kitchens.

2) 303 (General Ply) 

It is known as MR. Specially manufactured for Moisture Resistant & other purposes.
So this is used for TV units, bookshelves.

#Inspect Physical Condition of Ply : 

  • No knots or gaps in sides of ply.
  • Check the entire sheet surface for bulges or dents. Smooth ply ensures a sleek finish for acryli/ laminate. 

#Quality of Ply (weight) : 

  • Compare sizes from different brands or manufacturers.
  • Heavier ply is always denser and higher quality.

#Budget Wisely during purchasing of ply :

  • Don't overspend on 710 grade if not necessary. 
  • Be mindful of the overall interior designing budget.
