Bihar RCD SOR 2026 : SCHEDULE OF RATES BY BIHAR ROAD CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT

Schedule of Rates (SOR) is a list of rates of various items after the analysis of them. These rates are finalised by the Bihar Govt body like the Road Construction Department (RCD) 2026. Vol 1 & Vol 2, which will take effect from 1st April 2026.

  • It is very helpful, especially in the preparation of estimates, wages of labourers, rates of service in road construction projects etc. Also deciding the rates of extra items added by the contractor.
  • It provides the standard carriage of materials like loading and unloading during transportation to the construction site of stones, boulders, aggregates, sand and cement.
  • It is very useful to decide extra works done by the contractor i.e. site clearance, earthwork, erosion control and drainage provided during road construction works.

Generally, a clause in the conditions of contract is included, saying that, any extra item included during construction should be paid as per SOR.
