MAHARASHTRA PWD SOR 2025 : PWD SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR ELECTRICAL WORKS 2025

Schedule of Rates (SOR) is the standard list of rates of various items or works, which helps the preparation of an estimate to set the rates of materials, Labour and services in construction and installation projects. The department oversaw wiring, fittings, electrical appliances, energy saving devices for PWD irrigation and public building projects.

With the formation of the State of Maharashtra in 1960, the department was reorganised into two separate entities: the Irrigation Department and the Building Communication Department. In 1980, housing functions were further delegated to a separate department, solidifying the existing Public Works Department in its current role.

• The importance of quality control, the rates for important testing equipment required for the control panel, energy saving devices have also been included in this SOR.
• It consists of a group of items such as overhead systems, earthing items, substation and electrification works.
• It is very helpful, especially in the preparation of estimates, wages of worker and deciding the rates of materials and works of the contractor.
• This revised SOR is a significant step towards sustainable and efficient infrastructure development, ensuring environmental protection and the adoption of modern generator and firefighting technologies.
