How can we connect 2 columns by a beam when the house construction and finishing are completed?

Let's suppose the distance between 2 coloumn is 12 ft or 4 meters. Then it is a must for your house to provide a beam so the slab can rest & transfer the load properly.

STEP 1 : Planning

Case : 1 : If the beam is to be constructed on the floor or plinth area.

  1. Fix a support to the wall which prevents the wall from tilting.
  2. Mark the level where the beam is to be laid. (Mark on wall)
  3. Free the space or displace the heavy load from that wall.
  4. Make a point and cut the wall in the upcoming beam area.
  5. Provide proper reinforcement.
  6. Fix shuttering easily.
  7. Hire an expert meson or technician.
  8. Concrete should be properly mixed, and proportion should be designed.
  9. Use a vibrator during concrete.

Case : 2 : If the upcoming beam will be under the roof, then:

  1. Mark the level of the beam.
  2. Cut the wall carefully.
  3. Make support to the roof by a shaft/ timber/ metal support.
  4. Fix shuttering carefully.
  5. Provide reinforcement properly.
  6. Start concrete with care.
  7. Make proper support to the roof.
  8. Don't put any pointed or imposed load on the roof, furniture, household appliances, water tank Etc.
