How can we connect 2 columns by a beam when house construction and finishing completed?
Let's suppose the distance between 2 coloumn is 12 ft or 4 meter. Than it is must for your house to provide beam so slab can rest & transfer the load properly.
STEP 1 : Planning
Case : 1 : If the beam is to be constructed on floor or plinth area.
- Fix a support to the wall which prevents wall tilting.
- Mark the level where beam is to be laid. (Mark on wall)
- Free the space or displace heavy load from that wall.
- Make point and cut the wall in upcoming beam area.
- Provide proper reinforcement.
- Fix shuttering easily.
- Hire a expert meson or technician.
- Concrete should be properly mixed and proportion should be designed.
- Use vibrator during concrete.
Case : 2 If the upcoming beam will under the roof than :
- Mark the level of beam.
- Cut the wall carefully.
- Make support to the roof by shaft/ timber/ metal suport.
- Fix shuttering carefully.
- Provide reinforcement properly.
- Start concrete with care.
- Make proper support to the roof.
- Don't out any pointed or imposed load to the roof like, furniture, household appliances, water tank Etc.
