Bihar BCD SOR 2022: UPDATED (2024) SCHEDULE OF RATES BY BUILDING CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT

Schedule of Rates (SOR) is the standard list of rates of various items or works, which helps the preparation of an estimate to set the rates of materials, Labour and services in construction projects. These rates were finalised by the Bihar Building Construction Department (BCD) in 2022

  • It consists of a group of items such as excavation items, concrete items, demolition items, plumbing and electrification works.
  • It is very helpful, especially in the preparation of estimates, wages of worker and deciding the rates of materials and works of the contractor.
  • It has 2500-3000 items of building works, water supply, which is used to prepare the BOQ, Bill of quantity of construction of buildings.
  • Item-wise rates are fixed for construction materials.

Generally, the conditions of estimation, quantity surveying of construction is included; any extra items included during or before construction should be planned as per the SOR.
